- Description
- Natalio Tabaco immigrated to New York City from the Philippines in 1947 as an employee of the United Nations, and his wife Venancia followed shortly after. In the early 1950s the family moved to New Hyde Park. Natalio and Venancia had ten children. The Tabaco Family Photographs document three generations of the Tabaco family. The bulk of the collection is comprised of images of Tabaco family at their New Hyde Park home from the 1940s to the 1990s: holiday celebrations, everyday life, and family portraits. The collection includes substantial documentation of the family home and backyard, featuring a traditional Filipino garden.
