Description:

Blue Point was a "summer cottage community" for many city dwellers. This was the "country cottage" of General and Mrs. Ballington Booth. General Booth's father, William Booth, was the founder of the Salvation Army, and General Ballington Booth was the founder of the Volunteers of America. The house was built in 1898.
