The Queens Council on the Arts was established in 1966 to promote cultural growth and the development of the arts in Queens. The council is an affiliation of various institutions devoted to the two goals of promoting and developing Artistic culture in instrumental music, opera, dance, drama, poetry, paintings, sculpture, and musical shows. The work of the council can be seen through the various Art performances in and around Queens for the last 46 years.
