The Thomas R. Bayles Photographs contains photographs that document the people and places of central Suffolk County predominately in and around Coram, Middle Island, Shoreham and Yaphank in the form of photographs. Significant subjects in Mr. Bayles’ photographs are Nikola Tesla’s laboratory and tower, the US Army’s Camp Upton in Yaphank and the Long Island Rail Road Company’s trains and stations. A number of these photographs are duplicates of other people’s photographs and postcards.
